  • Overview

    Perform Maintenance duties to operate and maintain HVAC and mechanical building services including automated building energy management and security systems.

    Responsibilities

    • Operate and maintain the Building Automation Systems, make program changes as required.
    • Perform maintenance on Building and customer mechanical / HVAC equipment per manufacturers recommendations.
    • Respond to all verbal/written service requests from building tenants and maintenance personnel.
    • Maintain required environmental conditions in all areas of the buildings by proper adjustment and balancing of controls using automation systems or manual methods.
    • Requires the use and understanding of complicated drawings, sketches to diagnose control problems.
    • Order materials as needed, maintain proper documentation as required.
    • Observe all safety rules and regulations at all times, practice good housekeeping, maintain company quality performance standards.
    • Report unusual conditions and problems to supervisor. Perform other duties as requested.
    • This position is required to work overtime on weekends, nights and Holidays on a regular basis. On call responsibility 24/7.

    Qualifications

    High school plus 3-5 years HVAC Trade experience or equivalent AAS Degree.

    City of Rochester Stationary Engineer License, Universal Refrigeration Certification preferred but not required.

     

    Experience:

    • 1-3 years’ experience working with Honeywell Building Management System or other Building Automation System.
    • Experience operating / maintaining a purified water system.
    • Experience operating a central chilled water plant.
    • Experience working with / troubleshooting electrical controls/ systems up to 480 volts A/C.
