    The Sr. Director, Marketing Operations has responsibility for all operational aspects of the marketing process, in support of the Commercial organization’s promotional activities.  They will lead the Marketing                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        Operations group, as it evolves, managing individuals’ performance and optimizing the group’s effectiveness to support the organization’s commercial efforts. 



    • Establish collaborative relationships with Marketing through frequent communication and interaction to understand needs and optimize the effectiveness of the Marketing Operations group in operationally supporting the Commercial organization; Ultimately evolve the function to strategic partner status with brand teams
    • Oversight and management of Veeva CRM and Vault platforms and Field Technology Systems
    • Areas of responsibility to ultimately include: Medical/Regulatory/Legal review, Marketing Email Automation, Promotional Materials Management, and Roster Management.
    • Establish collaborative working relationship with Procurement to optimize the financial management of key functional areas (e.g., Global Veeva Promats Automation, Virtual Studio ,  Promotional Materials Management, and Vendor Management
    • Provide input and facilitate business process assessments, making recommendations and facilitating implementation within the Marketing Operations group
    • Establish and manage a business plan for the Marketing Operations group, reflecting clear alignment with the Commercial organization’s strategic priorities
    • Establish, direct and allocate headcount and financial resources within Marketing Operations to appropriately support the Commercial organization’s objectives
    • Work with sales personnel, HCPs, and partners to monitor ongoing performance of the overall brand and develop strategies for removing barriers and effectively educating customers through conventions and speaker programs.
    • Conducts regular Marketing Operations Reviews to align Marketing strategy with tactics and ensure effective execution of Marketing strategy, including a functional “health check”.


    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, management, or other relevant degree
    • 10-15 years Pharmaceutical Sales and Marketing management experience

    The successful candidate will be a confident self-starter, who can work independently and creatively, but is also a team player, championing ideas and supporting others to achieve goals.  This candidate will be an effective communicator with the ability to present confidently to large audiences, and must be organized and logical while having the flexibility to change direction as business requires.  This candidate must also be able to prioritize activities and workload, taking a systematic approach to addressing issues, and quickly identify key issues, making appropriate judgments when discussing marketing plans & goals by using quantitative data.

    • Good understanding of regulatory, legal and medical requirements for pharmaceutical marketing
    • Strong analytical skills including designing work flows and procedures; strong facilitation skills.
    • Strong interpersonal skills; Remains open to others' ideas and tries new things; interacts with employees at all levels within the sales organization.
    • Strong oral and written communication skills; demonstrated group presentation development and delivery
    • Comfort with the usage and application of technology
