  • Overview

    Handle material flow by receiving, retrieving, and issuing components in support of production.

     

     

     

    Hours: WE Shift | Sat-Sun: 7:00a-7:00p and Wed-Thu: 5:00p-1:30a

    Responsibilities

    The Material Handler II will be responsible for handling material flow by receiving, retrieving, and issuing components in support of production.

     

    Specific Job Duties

    • Perform warehousing tasks, such as: Loading/Unloading Trucks, Receiving Materials, Operating the Palletizer.
    • Pull components for Manufacturing and deliver them to the Lines.
    • Operate the Hi-Racker to drop pallets as production needs them.
    • Utilize ERP Lx and RF Units for material transactions. Issue components accurately to Shop Orders.
    • Prepare outbound Shipments for pickup. Support continuous improvement initiatives.

    Qualifications

    Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent required.

     

    Experience: 1 year experience operating industrial powered equipment required. Working in a Manufacturing or Distribution Center environment preferred.

     

    Special Skills: Demonstrated and documented high-quality performance, demonstrated ability to work successfully in a team environment and excellent attention to detail. Basic computer skills required to include MS Outlook, MS Word, and web based computer applications. Warehouse Management System experience preferred, BPCS a plus.

     

    Specialized Training: Operation of Material Handling Equipment. Certified Forklift Driver with working operational knowledge of warehouse equipment, i.e. pallet jacks, palletizer, Hi-Rack experience preferred.

     

    NOTE: This position requires employees to climb stairs to access the overhead conveyor system via the Cat Walk.
