The Sr. Finance Manager will assist in managing the financial support activities for the Greenville site, to include coordinating monthly closings and financial reporting, managing the budget preparation process from schedule planning to final presentation, overseeing the standard costing process, ensuring the proper financial controls are in place, driving improvements in our financial systems, training and developing skills of other finance personnel, and partnering with others at the site to evaluate business decisions and ensure financial objectives are met.
Coordinate monthly closings ensuring correct results with minimal adjustments; Generate general ledger entries; Prepare monthly financial reporting (CIP, PPV) and balance sheet reconciliations (inventory, liabilities); Provide information for weekly flash reports; Prepare additional analysis as required to explain and summarize financial activity.
Manage the Greenville Budget preparation process from schedule planning to the final presentation. Work with others at the site to assign roles and responsibilities. Manage the standard cost development process in BPCS and make improvements to the budget system and procedures whenever possible. Provide cost information for updating PeopleSoft and Share Point.
Responsibilities include managing the forecasting process approximately 3-4 times per year including providing explanations for large variances and loading forecast revisions to system.
Oversee quarterly obsolete inventory review and accrual. Also includes preparing and overseeing yearly physical inventory and any necessary reports and adjustments pertaining to the inventory.
Ensure that proper financial controls exist in Inventory, Financial Reporting, Fixed Assets, and Requisition to Payment. Ensure that all tasks are performed in compliance with the Code of Ethics.
Partner with others at the Greenville site to evaluate business decisions and to ensure financial objectives are met. Drive and support efforts to reduce costs and increase efficiencies. Assist co-workers with day-to day activities as it relates to financial transactions and outcomes.
Make enhancements to financial systems as business needs change to support our internal customers. Provide support as required for system implementations and upgrades.
Required Education: Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance
Preferred Education: CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred.

- Expert command of standard MS Office Applications – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
Required Experience: Five or more years work experience in cost accounting within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
Prior experience with BPCS and PeopleSoft or similar software systems preferable.
