  • Overview

    This position will provide systems support and administration of our eyeTELLIGENCE™ cloud based solution for connectivity with installed surgical capital equipment and of business IT systems utilized by Bausch + Lomb Product Support.


    • Systems support and maintenance for eyeTELLIGENCE™, legacy global field service activity reporting system, and ERP / CRM systems include:
      • Delivery of data and development and ongoing maintenance of reports for the Product Support business through collaboration with management, internal stakeholders and company IT support personnel.
      • Support active customer inquiries / requests submitted through our Get Me Help automation to ensure consistent workflow and response.
      • Project support participation, which may include the addition of features and capabilities within the cloud based solution, configuration requirements development, identification of user requirements, development of functional specifications, coordination of regression testing, and development and execution of test scripts.
      • Coordinate and partner with company IT personnel as necessary to ensure continued functional operation of systems and data reporting needs.
      • Collection of data requirements required for system configuration changes / modifications.
      • Identifying and coordinating the resolution of functional systems issues.
      • Provide help desk support for users of the applications, including domestic and international.
      • Participate on project teams and may be asked to lead components within projects. 
    • In addition to the listed duties, the incumbent is normally expected to perform other similar related duties as assigned.

    Scope of Position: This position is responsible for the support and administration of systems that impact the Commercial business for the Surgical Product Support division of Bausch + Lomb.  Support includes both domestic and international.  


    Key Relationships: Business Partners - B+L Product Support Organization (internal support, field, customer and depot service personnel), B+L Commercial Organization, Corporate IT, and manufacturer support functions such as R&D, Manufacturing Engineering, and Quality.


    Required Education:

    Bachelor’s degree, IT emphasis

    (Associate’s degree, IT emphasis and extensive direct experience may be considered)


    Required Skills/Qualifications:

    • Proven working knowledge of an ERP system such as PeopleSoft or SAP.
    • Proven working knowledge of computer and basic Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).
    • Ability to design and create reports, including charts and graphs within Microsoft Excel, to satisfy various technical, business and management requests.
    • Ability to anticipate, identify, and meet end-user needs while delivering prompt, efficient, quality service to the business.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of users with varying technical abilities.
    • Must be capable and comfortable with interfacing and providing help desk support for varying groups through different mediums such as phone and email.
    • Must be a self-starter who will actively pursue results.

    Preferred Skills Qualifications:

    • Some working knowledge of Cloud Based Environments
    • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
    • Ability to create databases or at a minimum, work within Microsoft Access or SQL databases
    • Proven ability to work as part of a project team
    • Ability to train others on operational procedures and concepts in areas of core responsibilities

    Required Experience:

    At least 3 years of systems support experience or technical support role


    Preferred Experience:

    Demonstrated experience working within a Cloud Based Environment in a support capacity
