Provide technical development/support for regulated applications supporting quality, operations, R&D and regulatory affairs by working collaboratively within the IT organization and business functions.
Work with a team comprised of business and technical people, document requirements and strategies, and convert them into explicit design inputs and outputs. Work closely with the customer base to develop and document requirements. Understand, design, develop, configure, install and test functionality within the Documentum/D2 platform. Maintain support between Documentum and interfacing systems.
Continually coordinate and communicate with business teams and internal/external technical team members, ensuring that system changes are initiated and implemented using established change management and validation procedures, methods and document deliverables.
Prepare complete and accurate system documentation, such as design specifications, configuration specifications, installation qualifications and associated records. Ensure data integrity is maintained throughout document lifecycle and process execution.
Provide production support in response to service desk tickets in a timely manner.
Analyze and troubleshoot issues that arise during development or testing, and ensure appropriate and complete investigations. Implement and/or recommend appropriate resolutions incorporating risk awareness, business priority insight, and data integrity requirements.
Maintain servers by installing Microsoft security patches, understand resource utilization, and liaise with the infrastructure team regarding server upgrades or server performance.
Provide technical knowledge and Documentum expertise to end users and technical partners to resolve operational challenges, technical issues and change requests.
Provide clear and consistent communication to management with respect to status of assignments.
Scope of Position:
The individual will be required to work within a team comprised of IT and business people supporting the Documentum platform which is subject to regulation enforced by health authorities and their legal representatives.
The scope of the position includes reporting, analysis, configuration, development, trouble shooting and testing, production support for this application. The individual will also be required to work with vendors to install and configure the application and assist with resolving issues.
As a member of a technical team, the analyst has shared accountability for applications, databases, services and infrastructure comprising production, QA and Development environments.
As an individual contributor, the analyst is accountable for meeting cost, schedule and quality of execution aspects of all assigned projects, initiatives and routine/recurring work activities.
The key customers are regional quality, manufacturing site quality, site operations, R&D and regulatory affairs.
The analyst must build trusted relationships with a diverse and geographically distributed customer base, and demonstrate flexibility in communication modes and work schedule, permitting effective interaction with customers.
Bachelor degree (required) in a technical discipline relevant to computers and programming. Documentum (DCTM) D2, DA training. Certification is preferred.
Strong experience in and understanding of DCTM methods and jobs, D2 configuration, and ancillary subsystems, such as Search, PDF Rendition and watermarking, lifecycles, access controls and workflows.
Experience with Documentum for Life Sciences is preferred.
Strong competency in SQL, DQL, Java script, MS Word, MS Excel and & MS SharePoint. Ability to form DQL queries to obtain and update data for a wide variety of repository object types.
Ability to communicate effectively and interact at all levels from management to staff level. Ability to translate customer requirements into practical design goals/input using standard system capabilities and configuration options.
Three years of Documentum development/implementation and DQL experience (Essential).
Demonstrated ability to configure Documentum components (Essential). Demonstrated knowledge of restarting services and servers and interpreting error logs during Documentum service interruptions (Essential).
Experience in opening and completing technical tickets with vendor (Essential).
Two years of experience in a Life Sciences organization (Preferred).
Two years of experience with compliant change management and validation methods (Essential).
Two years of hands-on experience with D2, preferably Documentum for Life Sciences (Essential).
Three years of experience writing/collaborating technical documentation (Essential)
