Provide technical support/management of hardware and software used within the Rochester R&D organization.
Work closely with the business to understand the technology and applications currently being utilized to support research and development activities. Ensure applications are appropriately configured and backed up.
Lead activities to isolate or upgrade from old hardware.
Assist with data integrity activities as it relates to R&D.
Understand, design, configure, and test systems based on user requirements
Work closely with the customer base to develop and document requirements.
Work with business users to make system changes based on their feedback
Analyze and troubleshoot issues that arise during development or testing
Write/update documentation in accordance with software validation life cycle procedures.
Provide clear and consistent communication to management with respect to status of assignments
Scope of Position:
The scope of the position is support for the Research and Development labs and personnel in Rochester, New York. The individual will be required to work closely with IT infrastructure and application teams to provide robust solutions for R&D.
The key customers are process development and labs within R&D in Rochester, New York.
Bachelors degree in Science with IT experience or in Information Technology with experience supporting Research and development.
Strong science background

Technical skill sets:
Experience working in a regulated or Life Sciences environment for 2-5 years
Experience working within an R&D organization.
Experience with the software development life cycle process
Experience working with reporting tools
