Provide technical development/support for regulated applications supporting quality and R&D.
Working within a team comprised of business and technical people in North America and Europe, participate in the development, upgrade, maintenance and deployment of the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
Ongoing responsibilities will include:
Provide clear and consistent communication to management with respect to status of assignments
Scope of Position:
The individual will be required to work within a team comprised of IT and business people to support the LIMS platform which is subject to regulation. The scope of the position includes reporting, analysis, configuration, development, troubleshooting and testing, production support and change management for this application. It also includes integrating laboratory instruments to the application.
Some travel will be required during upgrade/enhancement projects.
The key customers are laboratory managers and technicians that utilize the system to electronically document and report on test results for product release. Additionally, building and maintaining positive relationships with Information Technology peers/managers as well as vendors is essential.
AS in a technical discipline relevant to computers and programming with 7+ years of related experience.
Technical skill sets:
Experience in a Life Sciences environment.
Experience with software development life cycle processes and technical documentation.
