  • Overview

     

    The Manager, Analytics and Operations will be responsible for developing and producing timely and accurate business reports as well as Sales Force Effectiveness for Bausch + Lomb’s Vision Care specialty vision products and soft contact lens businesses. This person will combine internal sales data with syndicated data sources to create and take ownership of key reports in the day-to-day operations of the business. Additionally, the Manager, Analytics and Operations will provide analytical support and insights for the marketing team and other commercial stakeholders in order to help make better business decisions.

     

    The candidate needs to have the ability to develop and analyze data to create dashboards as well as make insights and recommendations. They are expected to maintain an in depth knowledge of the category, the customers, and competition. The ideal candidate will work cross functionally as needed to assist in commercial support of Bausch + Lomb’s Vision Care business objectives by developing a close working relationship with all functional stakeholders (includes Marketing, Sales Leadership, Sales Operations, Training, and Finance). This position is expected to foster a mastery of analytical techniques to support business inquiry for someone who can work in a ‘hands-on’ analytics capacity in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. This individual will report directly to the Director of Sales Operations & Analytics and will be based in Bridgewater, NJ with some occasional domestic travel.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Leads in the measurement of specialty vision product and soft contact lens sales and marketing initiatives to determine the effectiveness of market programs through data analysis. Able to comfortably present the findings and make recommendations.
    • Flawless execution and delivery of Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly reports evaluating the effectiveness of the specialty vision product and soft contact lens businesses.
    • Maintain and update various brand performance and market forecasts.
    • Fulfill ad-hoc requests in a timely and accurate manner.
    • Be pro-active in providing actionable customer insights and category/market analysis to support strategy, innovation and business development/management for sales and marketing teams.
    • Act as the critical and objective voice in supporting sales and marketing with planning, sales operations, forecasting and other relevant business decisions as they pertain to the overall business.

     

    Qualifications

    • B.A. or B.S. degree or equivalent experience required.
    • Minimum five years’ experience working in prior Business Insights and Analytics, Sales Forecasting, or Syndicated Data Analyst positions preferred.
    • Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy required.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
    • Advanced experience in MS Excel required.
    • Well versed in MS Access and MS PowerPoint.
    • Experience with data visualization tools such as QlikView.
    • Well versed in SQL a plus with knowledge of SAS preferred, which will be expected to develop into high-end functional analytical expertise.
    • Strong mathematical, computer and analytical skills.
    • Experience with Salesforce.com preferred.
    • Some occasional domestic travel required (5-10%).
