  • Overview

    This is a 2nd shift position. 3:00pm-11:30pm with overtime required per business need. 

    Perform facility repairs and maintain production equipment while performing mechanical and electrical repairs; process work orders.

     

    Responsibilities

    Process daily work orders and upgrades of facility equipment.

    Perform Preventative Maintenance (PM’s) as assigned on scheduled equipment.

    Perform mechanical and electrical repairs on production, facility, and lab equipment.

    Installation of new equipment and parts.

    Assist Utility Department in general repairs and passivations.

    Maintain GMP and SOP training compliance.

    Support Process and Safety initiatives.

    Assume responsibility for the GMP, environment health and safety procedure awareness, compliance within the respective area.

    Abide by LOTO, PPE and good housekeeping procedures.

    Design and fabricate machine parts including the use of general machine shop equipment and welding tools.

    Consult and/or lead electrical projects for the site.

    Lead off-shift (6pm - 6am) maintenance activities and personnel during plant shutdowns.

    Provide guidance to junior mechanics.

    All other duties as assigned.

     

    Process daily work orders and preventative maintenance work orders, which includes troubleshooting, repairing and upgrading the production, facility, and lab equipment.  Work with site engineering as a consultant to define and/or review electrical requirements relating to projects or site initiatives.  Lead off-shift maintenance activities/projects during plant shutdowns.

    Qualifications

    Good organizational skills, able to work quickly and under pressure.

    Good verbal and written communication skills.

    Logical approach to troubleshooting and repair of equipment.

    Position requires Aseptic Gowning Certification.

    Must be capable of working in the aseptic environment.

    Must be detailed oriented and quality conscious.

    Must be able to respond to emergencies.

    Mechanics tools (hand tools, electrical tools, etc.)

    Ability to operate lathe and milling machine.

    Ability to operate TIG and stick welder.

    Certified electrician preferred.

    Forklift & JLG Certification is required.

    Confined space entry is required.

    Respirator qualification is required.

    Computer skills: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

    Minimum of 5 years applicable industry experience.
