  • Overview

    Assists Production Supervisor in carrying out the day-to-day operation and supervision of production personnel involved in manufacturing of product for the facility.

    Helps maintain general control to ensure compliance with domestic FDA/GMP and all international regulatory requirements.

    Trains, directs and oversees manufacturing associates to accomplish established objectives.

    Responsibilities

    Independently identify, diagnose, correct, and document process trends and problems.  Enlist technical support if needed.

     

    Coordinate validations and implementation of new equipment.

     

    Function as SME in Pegasus production line technology.

     

    Direct the daily activities of Pegasus crew covering multiple production lines.

     

    Assure compliance with established quality standards and production schedules.

     

    Understand and execute daily staffing plan to ensure quality and quantity objectives are achieved.

     

    Arrange overtime as required according to overtime policy.

     

    Coordinate training of procedure changes.

     

    Perform corrective and preventative maintenance of manufacturing equipment in cooperation with Plant Maintenance and other shifts.

     

    Determine best response to maximize reliability of complex automation (repair, replacement, rebuild).

     

    Instruct associates in setup, inspection, and maintenance operations.

     

    Manage improvement projects spanning up to three months duration.

     

    Utilize B&L’s change management process.

     

    Accountable for nonconformance initiations, root cause investigations, and corrective action closeout.

     

    Provide daily reports on total production efficiency and quality variances.

     

    Develop performance and quality reports for distribution to a global management team.

     

    Provide confidential written input for annual employee performance appraisals.

     

    Maintain appropriate communication of confidential technical information.

     

    Interface with equipment and material vendors.

     

    Read and understand mechanical drawings, electrical prints, and technical documentation.

     

    Support, encourage, and participate in team related activities (production meetings, in-service training, etc.).

    Qualifications

    Associates degree in related electrical or mechanical field preferred or technical certifications preferred. 

    Must have demonstrated knowledge of computers and software, strong trouble shooting skills, good verbal/written skills.
