  • Overview

    Night Shift - 6pm- 6am including weekends 

    Responsibilities

    Operate Cincinnati Milacron injection molding machines in production and validation mode.

     

    Perform tool changes and minor mechanical repairs as needed to drive for quality and production goals.

     

    Schedule lots appropriately, in order to minimize WIP-related downtime across all lines at Casting.


    Assure all quality procedures at your station are followed.


    Understand and complete required quality procedures and documentation (ie: Setup Audits, Production Audits, CAMS transactions, Training Records, Validation paperwork).


    Monitor process metrics and respond appropriately to trends (ie: WinSPC).


    Drive for PPI (Process Performance Index) at or above goal.


    Coordinate and communicate with support departments to assure that the necessary materials, information, and services are available to meet all molding needs.


    Track downtime and yield issues and elevate them to Engineering, Team Lead, Quality, or Maintenance as appropriate.


    Practice GMP housekeeping and safety practices on shift.


    Set up next shift for success. Communicate with Mold Setups on adjoining shift regarding upcoming schedule and on-line issues.


    Participation in preventative maintenance and equipment repair required.

     

    Tools and Equipment Used


    Cincinnati Milacron injection molding machines, measurement equipment, small hand tools, optical equipment, cleaning solutions, computer, carts, trays, carriers and labels


    Train coworkers on new procedures and positions as required.

     

     

    Qualifications

    High school diploma or equivalent.

     

    Ability to read and write English. Basic math skills and computer skills required.

     

    Skills and Experience
    Prior experience operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting multi-station automated equipment required.


    Molding Experience required. Casting experience required. Experience with ISO and FDA regulated quality system preferred.


    Ability to work both independently and as part of a self-directed team required. Ability to collect, organize, and take action based on data is required.


    Ability to coordinate efficient work flow through a production process required. Exercises good judgment regarding quality issues.


    Ability to effectively utilize shop floor control computer systems. Good shift-to-shift communications required. Good communication with Casting required.

     

    Specialized Training
    Technical certifications, communication training, SFC/CAMS proficiency, quality training preferred.

     

     

    Physical Requirements
    Bending, lifting, reaching, seeing, standing, sitting, walking and gripping

     

    Environmental Factors
    Heat, Hazardous Materials - acetone

    Safety glasses required
